Join our team and become part of the journey in making our patients and customers the highest priorityJob DescriptionThe Senior Inventory Accountant will report to the Senior Manager of Inventory and be responsible for monthly inventory financial reporting as well as an integral participant in improving inventory-related processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Oversee the administration of monthly physical inventory counts and analysis for multiple departments/locations.
Assist in monthly close process as it pertains to inventory transactions and creating journal entries as deemed necessary for inventory accounting maintenance.
Responsible for reconciling general ledger to subledger and variance analysis.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure that all inventory transactions flow through successfully, and that the accounting is consistent with system and financial reporting.
Partner with Materials Management, Warehouse, and Accounts Payable teams on streamlining shared processes, such as procurement to payment.
Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit inquiries.
Ensure timely, professional communication, escalation, and resolution of inventory movement transaction issues and requests from internal and external customers.
Ensure compliance with policy and procedures relating to all inventory matters.
Develop inventory reports and analyses, monitor inventory transactions (e.
g.
:
Receiving, COS, Returns, Shrink), and investigate/resolve issues within the system.
Build and test key tools for system development, as well as review proposed changes and assess the impact to inventory processes; develop test scenarios and plans, as necessary.

Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Minimum three (3) years of inventory accounting experience preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, etc.
) and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level.
ERP system experience and systems savvy, highly preferred.
